The leaves are turning colors and October is flying by but it’ll go out in style with all the fun family activities going on around Boston over the next week:
- This Saturday: Spend the day listening to stories and learning from your favorite children’s book authors at the Boston Book Festival in Copley Plaza (10am – 5pm). Then once the sun goes down, leave the flashlights at home and join the Dorchester community for a spooky night hike through Franklin Park starting at 7pm
- This Sunday: Bring your pooch to the Halloween Dog Parade at noon or just come for a stroll around the Esplanade to admire all Boston’s well-dressed, four-legged friends.
- On Tuesday and Thursday: Bring your little performers to a fun, low-cost hip hop dance class for kids ages 4-8 starting at 6:30pm at the Star Dance School in Brighton.
- On Friday (Halloween): Trick or treat through town and drop by the Central Square YMCA in Cambridge for the annual Cambridge Fall Family Festival starting at 6pm – it is free to get in on the action including unlimited bouncing in the best bouncy houses; there is no need to be a YMCA member to join in.
So gather family and friends to celebrate Halloween and Fall your way with some of these great activities or share your tips for a fun-filled October with us at Kohl’s and Boston Children’s Hospital’s Health Family Fun Program Facebook page!
