What are you doing new year’s eve – or day?

While it hasn’t been a very snowy holiday, that shouldn’t stop you and your family from getting in the holiday spirit. This New Year’s Eve Day, Winter on the Waterfront is hosting family-friendly, free, and low-cost activities in neighborhoods across Boston. We’ve highlighted some activities by neighborhood below, but make sure to check out their website for many more activities across Boston!

  • Charlestown: Visit the U.S.S. Constitution Museum from 1-4pm for hands-on exhibits, interactive programs, and fun crafts for you and your family.
    Location: Building 22, Charlestown Navy Yard, Charlestown, MA 02129
  • Downtown: Explore Boston by foot on a “Historic Waterfront Tour” from 2-3pm that will take you from the Atlantic Wharf to the wharfs on the North End. Learn more about Boston’s history while winding your way through the wharves. Make sure to register here.
    Location: 290 Congress Street, along the Fort Point Channel
  • East Boston: Head to East Boston Neighborhood Health Center and check out their ice sculptures and family activities. They’ll also have holiday giveaways and prizes!
    Location: 20 Maverick Square, Boston, MA 02128

While you’re enjoying these activities, don’t forget to check out the ice sculptures too. As a part of the Waterfront Ice Sculpture Stroll, most of these locations will have ice sculptures for you to enjoy and even take a selfie with! Enter your selfie in the contest for a chance to win some cool prizes.
