Iced Whole-Wheat Sugar Cookies
Sugar cookies are a holiday classic! This recipe swaps out all-purpose white flour with the nutty, full flavor of whole-wheat flour. The icing incorporates Greek yogurt for a lighter taste. You can also try this sugar cookie recipe which uses canola oil instead of butter.
This gingerbread cookie recipe uses less brown sugar and molasses than traditional recipes, cutting the average calorie count from 290 to 127 calories per cookie! The fresh tastes of cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and ginger (of course!) give this cookie a zingy kick.
