Healthier Egg Nog

Mug of eggnog

Prep time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups of skim milk
  • 1 cup egg substitute
  • 6 tablespoons of sugar (or 8 packets of sugar substitute)
  • 1 teaspoon of real vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon of rum extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Heat the milk, egg substitute, and sugar/sweetener on the stove until thickened, stirring every minute.
  2. Remove from microwave or stovetop and stir in the extracts and spices.
  3. Cover the mixture and chill.
  4. Dust with nutmeg before serving.

Yields: 6 servings
