Walking for life

The benefits of moving more just keep adding up. A new study from the UK followed 330,000 men and women for 12 years to find out just how much walking makes a difference in terms of keeping people alive and well for longer. This cool infographic shows what they found. It turns out that consistent, small doses of walking briskly (3-4 mph) are enough to help prevent the diseases and death rates that come from spending a lot of time sitting down. This means that daily walks of 20 minutes of more might do more for our quality and length of life than focusing on changing how we look. So let’s get walking to show that we know moving more is about feeling great and enjoying a long, happy life.
